Patrick Finlayson

Hailing from the coastal town of Warrnambool, Pat followed in his parent’s footsteps and completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science at James Cook University in 2019.

After graduating, his first three years were spent in general practice at Bellarine Veterinary Practice, before moving into referral practice with a focus on diagnostic imaging. After obtaining memberships from the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in diagnostic imaging in 2025, the next 12 months were spent working and travelling in the UK and Europe.

After filling his brain with new skills and his passport with stamps, he returned home to Bellarine Veterinary Practice in 2026 to work closely with our emergency and hospital teams, with a focus on diagnostic imaging.

When he doesn’t have an ultrasound probe in hand you can find him replacing it with a beer at the footy or adventuring with his cheeky Boxer, Jeb.
