At Bellarine Veterinary Practice, we are committed to the future of our profession. As part of our extensive community outreach, we offer comprehensive work experience programs for both high school and tertiary students.
Students experience a range of the services we offer our clients, including involvement in surgical procedures and veterinarian health programs.

Thinking of become a veterinarian or veterinary nurse? The perfect way to find out if this career suits you is to complete work experience at Bellarine Veterinary Practice. We welcome Year 10 – 12 students to spend their work experience at our practice.

Veterinary nurses are a vital cog in the veterinarian wheel. At Bellarine Veterinary Practice, we offer vet nurse work experience to students studying at a range of veterinary nursing training programs. Placement with us complies with the institutions’ required quota of hours.

Update for 2018 placements – ongoing placements are reserved for second year Cert IV Veterinary Nursing Gordon TAFE students. Students from other institutes studying Cert IV Veterinary Nursing are welcome to apply for one week block placements. Applications for 2018 one week block placements will be accepted from November 2017 – places are limited due to demand.
Bellarine Veterinary Practice understands the importance of helping to train and build the skills of future vets, that’s why we offer veterinary work experience to university students. Placement with us is in high demand, as we offer experience in clinic and training hospital setting. Vet students are able to experience a vast range of experiences and are mentored by experienced and passionate vets.
Many of our current veterinarians have gained work with us after completing a work placement here.
Veterinary extramural placements are fully booked for 2017 and limited placements now available for 2018.
