At Bellarine Veterinary Practice, we are committed to the future of our profession. As part of our extensive community outreach, we offer comprehensive work experience programs for both high school and tertiary students.
Students experience a range of the services we offer our clients, including involvement in surgical procedures and veterinary health programs.

Thinking of becoming a veterinarian or veterinary nurse? The perfect way to find out whether this career suits you is to undertake work experience at Bellarine Veterinary Practice. We welcome Year 10-12 students to spend their work experience placement at our clinics.

Veterinary nurses
Veterinary nurses are a vital cog in the veterinary wheel. At Bellarine Veterinary Practice, we offer vet nurse work experience to students studying at a range of veterinary nursing training programs. Placement with us complies with the institutions’ required quota of hours.
Weekly ongoing placements are reserved for Cert IV Veterinary Nursing Gordon TAFE students.

Applications will open for 2027 in August 2026
Students from other institutes studying Cert IV Veterinary Nursing are welcome to apply for one week block placements.
Veterinary students
Bellarine Veterinary Practice understands the importance of helping to train and build the skills of future veterinarians, that’s why we offer veterinary work experience to university students. Placement with us is in high demand, as we offer experience training in a clinic and hospital setting.
Veterinary students are exposed to a vast range of experiences and are mentored by knowledgeable and passionate veterinarians. Many of our current veterinarians have gained work with us after completing a work placement here.
