Great Vets, girls on the reception desk very disconnected and didn't clean up a saliva mess left by a large dog which was ill. I think this should have been a priority as many pets pass through the area and cross contamination was definitely a possibility. They were aware of the mess as the owner pointed it out to them.
We are very happy with the Point Lonsdale Vet. Dr Janey is very friendly and helpful as are the rest of the staff. Our cats aren't impressed with the place but we are 😊 thank you.

Worst vet ever!!! My dog has had reoccurring UTI’s, they put her on antibiotics numerous times didn’t work!. Told to put her on the special food they sell for a fortune and as my dog is a Great Dane, thats ok if it works but they want her on it for a month. She lost 6 kgs UTI still there, next suggestion was sedate her, do an ultrasound and get a urine sample directly from bladder to run culture. They give me two packets of tablets clearly marked one to be given night before her appointment and the other the morning of it. This was Drysdale vet. To Newcomb for procedure as they didn’t have a table big enough . All done get my dog, she slept for two days!! I thought she was going to die, they had over prescribed the medication! Next they ring me to say the courier had lost the urine sample! I rang, spoke to a guy regarding the account as I wasn’t paying for something they lost. He tells me it was lost in house not by the courier! They gave me $40 off the $900 odd bill! Then I’m told to get another sample no need for sedation and they would get culture done. Originally told this wasn’t good enough. They then prescribed an antibiotic that was $9.38 per tablet x 2ce a day x 30 days! I told them to give me a few days and a prescription. Told afterwards to bring in another sample to see its clear. Which I did. The rude receptionist/nurse/manager first told me I should have bought sample in days. Get all clear 10 days later. Yesterday see its back, I ring them to double check it was all clear. The extremely rude woman then tells me to take my dog somewhere else!!! Very caring practice and this receptionist/manager shouldn’t be dealing with animals, her care factor is zero. Worst vet practice in my 60 odd years dealing with them!!

Removing my pet from this clinic after 7 years. To the horribly rude receptionist, you are the reason why. No care or compassion what so ever. Zero explanations at previous visit over a pets script. To find out we just need to pay more money and it solves all problems. Money grabbing at its finest. I won’t be back here.
We have been here twice bow. Once with each dog. From the reception staff to Vets, we can not fault it. The environment in the waiting room is spacious and clean. We fully recommend it. Pensioner discpunt available.
Our family had to have our fur friend Lenny (cat) euthanased as he was very ill.
This was a heartbreaking event for our family so we chose to do it at home.
We were very pleased to have Dr Tarley come to our home.

Beautiful kind vet but unhappy with head receptionist. She was rude and shouldn't be dealing with the public, especially when we're frantic with our unwell pet
We went there in an emergency yesterday with our dog,they took us straight in and were so compassionate and caring, my little dog sadly passed away and nothing could be done. They were caring with information on his cremation, could not fault the service.

Took my dog to get cyst drained he kept bleeding all night took him back the next day and as the vet refused to drain cyst as it refilled with blood,yet I was charged double from the day before.

We recently had our cat put down dc maria renee and all the staff were so compassionate and understanding of our grief told us to take as much time as we needed they even assisted in choosing a wooden box to keep our cat ashes in thankyou bvp newcomb for your love and care such a wonderful people to take care of your animals
