Behaviour Consultations, Geelong

Behaviour problems are frustrating, and worse, can diminish the relationship between you and your pet. At the Bellarine Veterinary Practice, our first approach is to book a consultation with one of our vets to check that there are no underlying medical conditions that could be causing, or contributing to your pets behavioural problems. Once your pet has received the all clear from our vets, you can take the next step towards booking the behaviour consultation. These steps are outlined below.

1. Have a consultation with one of our vets to ensure there are no underlying medical conditions that could be causing, or contributing to your pets behavioural problems.

2. Complete the behavioural questionnaire via the links below, this questionnaire can take up to 1.5 hours to complete. Once the questionnaire is completed and submitted it will be automatically emailed to the clinic and we will contact you within 7 working days to schedule an appointment. A Deposit is required at time of booking.

3. The behavioural consultation will be conducted via zoom, or in person at our Barwon Heads Clinic and goes for approximately one hour. Some patients are stressed coming into the clinic and sometimes multiple family members would like to be present, zoom consultations can be less stressful for the patient, more family members are able to sit in and we can be more flexible with times.

The vet will spend one hour reviewing the case prior to the consultation and one hour post consultation writing a report that will be provided to you via email.

4. If medications are dispensed, they will be prepared and ready to collect from the clinic closest to you. An additional fee applies for medications.

5. If required, follow up behaviour consultations are available. These vary in price depending on the time taken in the consultation, current prices are available by contacting the clinic.
